There’s the funding banking colossus, having invested some huge cash, effort and time into establishing a sure methodology of working, then alongside comes a world pandemic to query its price. No marvel then that Solomon described distant working as an “aberration” and indicated his want for everybody to return to the workplace.
The explanation he gave was that Goldman is an “modern, collaborative apprenticeship tradition”. Having workers of their spare rooms or at their kitchen tables doesn’t sit effectively in that surroundings.
